Expanded PTFE Reinforced Flange Gasket
Features
Expanded PTFE reinforced flange gasket is a high-performance sealing material that combines the excellent properties of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene （ePTFE） with the advantages of reinforced structure.
1. Chemical stability: corrosion resistance, almost all strong acids, strong bases, organic solvents and oxidants （such as concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, chlorine, etc.）， suitable for extreme chemical environments. Anti−aging: UV, ozone stability, long–term use performance does not decay.
2. Physical properties: It has flexibility and resilience, ePTFE expands to form a microporous structure, compressive rebound rate of up to 40%-60%， suitable for uneven flange surface or dynamic load. Creep resistance: Through the metal reinforced layer, significantly reduce cold flow phenomenon, long-term pressure is not easy to deformation. Temperature range：—200 °C to +260° C （up to 300° C in the short term）， and enhanced materials （such as stainless steel） can extend high temperature tolerance.
3. Sealing performance: corrugated design, enhance the surface contact stress, improve the sealing effect, especially suitable for low pressure or vacuum conditions. Low permeability, compact structure effectively blocks gas and liquid penetration, lower leakage rate than traditional gaskets.
4. Mechanical strength: The reinforced layer （such as stainless steel） supports the structure, which can withstand the system pressure of up to 2oMPa and ripple the stress to prevent crushing.
Applications
Suitable for chemical industry, semiconductor, hydrogen energy, fluid, reactor, pipe flange, valve seal, chlor-alkali, oil refining and other corrosive media environment； Pharmaceutical, energy, power, Marine engineering, seawater desalination equipment, submarine pipelines, salt spray corrosion resistance, long–term underwater sealing and other fields.
