Large-Section PTFE Cylindrical Stock from a Fluoroplastics Manufacturer
Gansu Juxiang Fluoroplastics Technology Co.,Ltd. is a Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Series Large Cylindrical Material manufacturer based in Yumen City, Gansu Province, China, within a fluoroplastics group that also operates from Zhejiang. The range is organised into four large-diameter families — 350, 500, 600 and 780 series — supplied under the JUXIANG brand as hollow cylindrical billets with outside diameters from Φ350 mm to Φ780 mm and lengths up to 2000 mm.
These billets are the starting stock for parts that cannot be cut economically from sheet or small rod: large seal rings, valve seats, sealing frames, flange gaskets, pump and valve internals, liner bushes, insulating sleeves and machined wear components. We deliver either the finished machined part to drawing or the cylinder itself, where the customer's own workshop handles final machining. The same product family is shipped to industrial customers in more than 30 countries.
- Four outside-diameter families: Φ350, Φ500, Φ600 and Φ780 mm
- Bore diameters of Φ140, Φ200 and Φ220 mm according to series
- Lengths from 500 mm to 2000 mm in fixed increments
- JUXIANG brand, produced in Gansu and supported by group capacity in Zhejiang
- Filled, modified and drawing-specific configurations quoted per order
JUXIANG Large Cylindrical Range at a Glance
The four series share similar bore-to-wall proportions and differ mainly in outside diameter, which sets the maximum part size that can be cut from a single billet. Lengths below are the standard options; intermediate lengths and non-standard bores are handled as configured items.
| Series | Outside diameter | Inside diameter | Length options (mm) | Typical component fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 350 Series | Φ350 mm | Φ140 mm | 500–1000, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2000 | Mid-size seal rings, valve seats, bushings, insulating sleeves |
| 500 Series | Φ500 mm | Φ200 mm | 500–1000, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2000 | Large flange gaskets, pump housings, sealing frames |
| 600 Series | Φ600 mm | Φ200 mm | 500–1000, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2000 | Vessel and tank-mouth seals, large valve internals |
| 780 Series | Φ780 mm | Φ220 mm | 500–1000, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2000 | Oversized rings, liner sections, chemical and semiconductor equipment parts |
Because the wall is thick, the billet is ordered with a machining allowance on outside diameter, bore and length. We agree that allowance against the customer's finished drawing so the final part sits inside the specified wall after stress relief and finishing.
Application Fit Across Process Industries
Large cylindrical PTFE is chosen where a single-piece ring or frame is preferred over a jointed or wrapped construction. In chemical and petrochemical plants it appears as large flange gaskets, tank-mouth seals, valve seats and pump components exposed to acids, alkalis and solvents. In semiconductor and electronics equipment it serves as high-purity insulating and sealing parts, where contamination control matters more than mechanical load.
Other recurring uses include sealing frames and gaskets for large vessels, guide and wear rings in heavy machinery, and insulating components in electrical equipment. Where the duty calls for a moulded sealing frame rather than a machined ring, the Large integrated molded PTFE sealing frame and gasket range covers that construction; smaller rod and tube sizes sit in Filled PTFE Tube,Rod.
- Chemical and petrochemical: flange gaskets, valve seats, pump and valve sealing parts
- Semiconductor and electronics: insulating rings, sealing components, high-purity machined parts
- New energy and hydrogen: seals and insulators for production and handling equipment
- Automotive and automation: low-friction wear rings, guide elements, sliding components
- Environmental and water treatment: sealing parts for filtration and dosing equipment
Material Options and Configuration
Standard billets are produced in virgin PTFE. For duties where compressive strength, wear resistance or dimensional stability under load matter more, we supply filled grades using glass fibre, carbon, graphite, bronze or combinations, and PHBA-filled material where low deformation is required. Modified PTFE is available where improved creep resistance and weldability are needed, including Modified PTFE Sheet for gasket and lining work.
Configuration is agreed on four points: the finished geometry and machining allowance, the grade and filler content, the acceptance criteria for the finished part, and the packaging needed for transport. Sodium-treated surfaces for bonding, stress-relieved billets for tight-wall parts and matched outside-diameter and bore pairs for ring sets are handled within the same order discussion.
Quality Control and Acceptance
Large cylinders are sensitive to voids, density variation and residual stress, so process control starts at resin intake and continues through preforming, sintering and controlled cooling. Billets are inspected for outside diameter, bore, length, straightness and surface condition before release, and machined parts are checked against the characteristics stated on the drawing.
- Incoming resin identification and batch segregation
- Recorded preforming pressure, sintering cycle and cooling profile
- Dimensional inspection of outside diameter, bore, length and wall thickness
- Visual inspection for voids, cracks, contamination and colour variation
- Inspection records and material documentation issued with the shipment
- Customer or third-party inspection arranged against the agreed inspection plan
Acceptance criteria are written into the order: which dimensions are critical, whether a dimensional report is required, and whether the part is accepted as a billet or as a finished machined component.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A quotation is prepared from the working point, not from a catalogue number alone. The following inputs let us confirm the series, grade and machining allowance without a round of clarification.
- Finished drawing with outside diameter, bore, length, wall, tolerances and surface requirements
- Quantity per size and whether the order repeats
- Service conditions: medium, concentration, temperature, pressure and cycle frequency
- Material grade: virgin, filled, modified or PHBA-filled, with any filler preference
- Supply form: billet, rough-machined or finished part
- Acceptance: critical dimensions, report requirements, witness inspection
- Packaging and marking: export packing, part marking, documentation language
Inquiries reach our technical sales team and are answered within 12 working hours. Custom development against drawings or samples is our standard route, and the same team follows the order from material selection through delivery.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which series should be specified for a ring with a 480 mm outside diameter?
The 500 series, with a Φ500 mm outside diameter and Φ200 mm bore, leaves enough wall to machine a 480 mm ring with allowance for finishing. If the finished wall is thin or the part is long, we review the billet size against the machining plan before quoting.
Can the cylinders be supplied as finished machined parts rather than billets?
Yes. We machine to drawing, including ring, seat, frame and bush geometries, and we also supply plain billets where the customer prefers to finish in-house. The drawing, tolerance callouts and acceptance method determine which route we quote.
Are filled or modified PTFE grades available in the large-diameter sizes?
Filled grades, PHBA-filled material and modified PTFE are available in the large cylindrical format. The grade is selected against the medium, temperature, load and wear conditions, and the filler content is confirmed on the order specification.
What documentation accompanies a shipment?
Each shipment carries the packing list, material identification and the inspection records agreed at order stage. Where the project requires certification documents, these are issued with the order file, and customer or third-party inspection can be arranged against the agreed plan.
