PTFE Elastomer Gasket
Product Description
The PTFE elastomer gasket is a non-metallic composite soft gasket, generally consisting of a coating layer and a base material. The coating layer mainly serves an anti-corrosion function and is usually made of PTFE material. The base material is made of rubber materials such as EPDM, FKM or NBR. In the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, to ensure the cleanliness of materials without using stainless steel flanges, valves, and flanged pipe fittings must be used for sealing, PTFE elastomer gaskets are often used instead.
Application scope
Polytetrafluoroethylene elastomer gaskets are mainly suitable for flat and raised face flange sealing surfaces. They are applicable to nominal pressures ranging from 0.6 MPa to 2.0 MPa and working temperatures from 0°C to 150°C for corrosive media or media with high cleanliness requirements. They are mainly used for sealing in various corrosive fluids such as acids, alkalis, halogens, as well as for media that require pollution prevention, such as in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
