PTFE Overflow Troughs and Single Troughs from a Fluoroplastic Manufacturer
Gansu Juxiang Fluoroplastics Technology Co.,Ltd. molds PTFE overflow troughs and single troughs as one-piece vessels for wet benches, chemical process lines, electroplating cells and medical equipment. Each trough is integrally molded rather than welded, so the wetted surface stays continuous and the wall keeps the same chemical resistance from rim to base.
We produce these vessels at our Yumen, Gansu base alongside PTFE, PFA, FEP, PCTFE, PEEK, PI and PVDF stock shapes, seals and machined components, with a second production base in Zhejiang. Troughs are built to drawing or to a stated working volume, and we quote against the medium, temperature and bench interface of the real installation.
Range and Configuration
The range covers two families. Overflow troughs carry a machined or molded overflow weir that sets the liquid level and returns spill to a drain or recirculation line. Single troughs are open vessels with a defined side-wall and bottom thickness, used as dip baths, rinse stations and collection trays.
- Overflow troughs: inner capacity from roughly 9 L to 145 L in the standard size set, with weir openings from 50 mm to 130 mm.
- Single troughs: inner capacity from 1.9 L to 307 L, with 10–20 mm side walls and 15–20 mm bottoms.
- Custom molding: non-standard outer dimensions, corner radii, tapered bases, drain bosses, weir notches and mounting flanges produced to customer drawings or samples.
- Material options: virgin PTFE as standard; filled and modified PTFE grades where creep resistance or dimensional stability under load matters.
Representative Size Set
Dimensions below are taken from our standard molding range. Intermediate sizes and fully custom vessels are configured from the same wall and weir logic.
| Family | Outer W × L × H (mm) | Inner W × L × H (mm) | Weir or wall (mm) | Inner capacity (L) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Overflow trough | 270 × 310 × 250 | 200 × 200 × 235 | Weir 55 | 9.0 |
| Overflow trough | 300 × 377 × 265 | 220 × 220 × 245 | Weir 95 | 11.4 |
| Overflow trough | 350 × 440 × 310 | 250 × 270 × 288 | Weir 80 | 18.8 |
| Overflow trough | 420 × 520 × 310 | 310 × 340 × 290 | Weir 95 | 29.5 |
| Overflow trough | 548 × 798 × 580 | 416 × 628 × 565 | Weir 66 | 145.0 |
| Single trough | 130 × 130 × 205 | 100 × 100 × 190 | 15 / 15 | 1.9 |
| Single trough | 240 × 255 × 260 | 210 × 225 × 245 | 15 / 15 | 11.6 |
| Single trough | 420 × 520 × 210 | 390 × 490 × 190 | 15 / 20 | 36.3 |
| Single trough | 730 × 730 × 665 | 690 × 690 × 645 | 20 / 20 | 307.1 |
Where the Troughs Fit
PTFE brings high-temperature resistance, broad chemical resistance, non-stick surfaces and excellent electrical insulation into one vessel. That combination suits processes where glass or stainless steel would etch, contaminate the bath or release the workpiece.
- Semiconductor wet processing: acid and solvent benches, rinse modules and cassette dip stations where particle shedding and metallic contamination must stay low.
- Chemical and electrochemical lines: pickling, etching, anodizing and plating cells handling aggressive acids, alkalis and mixed chemistries.
- Medical and pharmaceutical: cleaning and passivation baths where a non-reactive, low-adhesion surface simplifies changeover between products.
- Surface treatment and printed-circuit fabrication: developer, stripper and etchant trays with controlled overflow to a weir.
Critical Specifications We Confirm
Wall thickness, weir height and inner capacity are set together, because a deeper weir changes the working level and the freeboard left for the workpiece. We confirm each of these against the drawing before molding.
- Inner length, width and depth, plus the resulting working volume at the stated fill level.
- Weir position, notch width, weir height and the drain or return connection size.
- Side-wall and bottom thickness, corner radii and base flatness for stable seating on the bench frame.
- Service temperature and chemical exposure, which govern whether virgin or filled PTFE is the right grade.
- Lifting points, flange positions and any cut-outs required for heaters, sensors or pipe entries.
Integration, Installation and Acceptance
Troughs are delivered ready to seat on the bench frame or in the process cell. We machine the rim flat so the vessel sits without rocking, and we keep the overflow path clear of flash so liquid returns without pooling.
Acceptance is handled on the agreed drawing: outer and inner dimensions, wall thickness at defined points, weir height, visual inspection for voids, laminations and discoloration, and a hold test where a leak-tight body is specified. Dimensional records and material documentation accompany the shipment, and troughs are packed with edge protection for container or air freight.
Because the same plants mold PTFE sheet, rod, tube and machined seals, brackets, covers and pipe stubs for a trough can be supplied in the same order, which keeps the assembly in one material family and one dimensional reference.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A drawing is the fastest route to an accurate quotation. Where no drawing exists, the following inputs let us propose a size and wall section directly.
- Required inner dimensions and working volume, or the outer envelope allowed by the bench.
- Process medium, concentration and maximum service temperature.
- Weir height and overflow destination, or confirmation that a plain single trough is required.
- Drain, fill and sensor port positions and thread or flange standards.
- Mounting method, load from workpieces and any lifting or handling requirements.
- Quantity, delivery schedule and documentation or inspection requirements.

As a PTFE Overflow Trough, Single Trough manufacturer in China, we mold to drawing and supply matched parts from one production chain.
Customer Questions
Can you mold a trough to our own dimensions and weir height?
Yes. We mold to customer drawings and samples, including non-standard outer envelopes, tapered bases, weir notches and port positions. Send the inner dimensions, working volume and weir height and we will confirm the wall section and capacity in the proposal.
Which PTFE grade do you recommend for a heated acid bath?
Virgin PTFE covers most acid and mixed-chemistry baths up to the service temperature of the resin. Where the trough is large, heated or carries heavy workpieces, a filled or modified grade reduces creep and helps the wall hold its shape, and we match the grade to the medium and temperature you state.
How is a trough checked before shipment?
Each vessel is checked against the approved drawing for inner and outer dimensions, wall thickness and weir height, then inspected visually for voids and laminations. Where a leak-tight body is specified, a hold test is performed and recorded before packing.
What lead time and documentation come with an order?
Scheduling is set once the drawing is approved and the material grade is fixed, and we confirm the date in the quotation. Shipments include dimensional records and material documentation, with inspection certificates added when the project requires them.
